Frequently asked questions about Valve Grease ALM-C

Valve Grease ALM-C is an NSF H1-certified lubricant for the food and animal feed industries. It is suitable for lubricating:

  • machinery used in food processing
  • moving metal connections
  • rolling bearings
  • plain bearings
  • sliding surfaces
  • sanitary valves and fittings

Its pharmaceutical white oil-based formulation is suitable for applications where incidental product contact may occur.

The NSF H1 certification permits use in food-processing environments where incidental contact with food may occur. In addition, the grease is formulated with pharmaceutical-grade white oil and has been developed specifically for food production applications.

Key properties include:

  • NSF H1 food-grade quality
  • water resistance
  • high-temperature resistance
  • EP (extreme pressure) lubricant
  • excellent wear protection
  • reliable corrosion protection
  • suitable for high-load applications

These characteristics make it particularly suitable for lubrication tasks involving high pressures and medium to low operating speeds.

Its EP performance and high load-carrying capacity in the four-ball wear test make the grease especially suitable for applications subjected to heavy loads and medium to low operating speeds.

The grease is beige in color and has an NLGI Grade 2 consistency. This allows for easy, uniform application in a wide range of industrial lubrication tasks.

Valve Grease ALM-C is a calcium sulfonate complex grease formulated with pharmaceutical-grade white oil. This combination provides high load capacity, excellent water resistance and reliable corrosion protection.
