Engineer’s Marking Paste BS supports surface inspection during the machining and fitting of components. It makes contact and machining areas visible, helping identify uneven surfaces or areas that require further machining.
During fitting and machining, it can be difficult to see exactly where two surfaces make contact. Engineer’s Marking Paste BS clearly reveals these contact points, allowing the user to rework specific areas and avoid unnecessary material removal.
The paste is heat resistant up to 200 °C, making it suitable for inspection and marking work on heated components.
- Apply a thin layer to the clean, grease-free contact surface.
- Bring the components to be checked together or move them against each other.
- The transferred color marks reveal the actual contact points and indicate where further machining may be required.
Remove the paste with a suitable solvent-based cleaner, such as an orange oil cleaner.
